This bag is so trendy right now and a huge hit in the crochet community.
You don't need a specific pattern for this, all you need:
- granny squares (4)
- yarn
- yarn needle
- hook
- wooden rings (2)
- lining (optional)
- buttons (optional)
You can find many granny square patterns on the internet (I love using Pinterest for my search). It can be any "flower" squares, or just the simple clusters ones. I suggest you to make the squares around 5". In this size you can put your phone and keys, and your ID/Driving license.
Before you assemble the bag, it is really important to block the squares!

You can close the bag with button(s), but you can leave it open. I feel safer with buttons.
How long should you make the strap?
Well it depends on you. what I did is to start to make the strap:
Ch6
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch form hook and across, turn (5sc),
Row 2: ch1, sc across (5sc)
Row 3: rep row 2
I made around 8 rows then sewn the strap to one of the rings and continued to crochet. When I had a great length I tried it on myself. When I reached the desired length, I finished off and attached the end of the strap to the other ring. DON"T FORGET TO WEAVE THE ENDS!

You can wear it 2 ways
Here's a video of How I assembled this bag.
Hope this helps! Happy crocheting and don't forget to follow me on social media:
